CHARLES DAVID McNAY

Charles David McNay was born on 21st March 1885, in Elmbank
Villa (left), Panbrae Road, Bo'ness.
On 11th February 1921, Charles married Jean Hogg.  Jean lived
with her parents in Ellengowan Cottage (right), Bo’ness.  Her
father, James, was a Ship Broker.

Charles and Jean were married in the Royal Hotel, Princes Street, Edinburgh.  Charles was described as a Master Potter.

Their first home was in Redlands (right), Grahamsdyke Road,
Bo’ness at the opposite end of the terrace from where Charles'
brother, William, had once lived.
 
Both their children were born in Redlands, Harry on 26th May 1922
and Jean Mary (know as Jeanmaree) on 5th September 1925.
In 1927, Charles and Jean moved further along Grahamsdyke Road
to Craiginnour (left).

In 1934, Jean had the honour of being chosen to perform the crowning ceremony at Queen Helen Young’s coronation and is seen
performing her duties in the following photos

In 1941, Charles and Jean moved to Carndene (right), the former home
of his parents and brother.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Charles died in an Edinburgh Nursing Home on 1st September, 1964.
